Personal Encounters with the Love of God: St. Francis de Sales and the Sacraments, by Margaret Margeton
Each of the seven chapters in this book begins with a brief overview of the sacrament being considered and then explores how the sacrament was effective in the life and writings of St. Francis de Sales and/or another Salesian saint, such as St. Jane de Chantal. The book includes some brief anecdotes about Margaret’s own experiences of the sacraments, some going back to her childhood, others more recent. At the end of each chapter there are a few questions for reflection and a boxed summary of key points about each sacrament, based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
