Revised 2023
Overview for all Site Visitors
The St. Francis de Sales Association respects the privacy needs of our website visitors and our association members. This Privacy Policy outlines what specific information is gathered on the St. Francis de Sales Association website (at sfdsassociation.org) and how that information is used.
Email Communications Policy
The St. Francis de Sales Association adheres strictly to a permission-based email policy. The association will not send you unsolicited commercial offers or advertisements via email or other emails unrelated to association business. We will not share, sell, rent or loan the contact information we collect online or offline to any outside persons or organizations.
Information Collection and Use
Contact Forms
Visitors of this site are invited to voluntarily fill out online forms to inquire about the association, Salesian spirituality, or to provide feedback to our webmaster. These forms ask the visitor to provide a first name, last name and email address so that we may follow up on your request. This information is used to respond with electronic communications to the visitor. If a visitor opts to provide additional contact information, such as street address, city, state, and phone numbers, this information may be used to communicate via phone and/or print as well. Information collected on this form will never be shared or sold outside St. Francis de Sales Association without prior authorization from you. At this time, we cannot fathom a circumstance when we would even ask for authorization to share information collected.
Option to Opt-Out from Email Communications
Visitors who have provided their name and email address by submitting an online form on this site may notify the association that they do NOT wish to be contacted by the association in the future in one of two ways: 1) Submit your request in writing to: St. Francis de Sales Association, 101 W. Argonne Dr., Suite 124, St. Louis, MO, 63122 or 2) simply reply to any email communication from the association with the subject line: PLEASE REMOVE ME FROM YOUR LIST OF CONTACTS.
Web Statistics
While IP addresses (address of a computer) are logged to track a visitor’s session on our website, the user’s identity is anonymous. Tracking IP addresses gives the St. Francis de Sales Association information, in aggregate form, about which parts of our site are used most often and what information is viewed. IP addresses are not linked to anything that can personally identify a visitor. Thus, session details are tracked for informational purposes, but the user is anonymous.
Information Use by Third Parties
It is the policy of the St. Francis de Sales Association to never provide your personal information to third parties without your express permission or only in instances where such disclosure is necessary to process payment transactions or provide services that you have requested. We do not release personal information about you as an individual. The St. Francis de Sales Association will not share with third parties any more information than is necessary to perform the transaction you have requested. There is one exception to this policy: if the St. Francis de Sales Association is compelled to do so by an appropriately empowered governmental authority. Again, at this time, we cannot fathom a circumstance where we would be compelled to provide information by authorities.
